The Haryana government has launched a new subsidy scheme to promote horticulture and crop diversification. This Subsidy applies to Fruits, Vegetables, Flowers, Spices, Aromatic plants and in which maximum limit is set to 5 Acres and maximum subsidy ₹1,00,000 per farmer.

Students Develop Chemical-Free Termite Trap
A group of girl students from PM SHRI Girl Senior Secondary School, Sirsa have developed a chemical-free termite trap using maize husk.
Advantages:
- Protects crops from termites
- No environmental or soil pollution
This innovation has been developed under the Atal Innovation Mission.

High Court Questions Fee Hike in Veterinary Diploma Course
The Punjab and Haryana High Court has directed authorities to reconsider the steep fee increase in the Veterinary Diploma course. The court observed that:
“The fee hike must be justified and transparent.“
This move offers relief to students affected by sudden fee hikes.
DAP Fertilizer
Several districts are reporting shortage of DAP fertilizer, causing concern among farmers. Meanwhile, other districts have sufficient supply.
Due to shortage, many farmers are forced to use NPK fertilizer, which is not as effective.
Farmers demand equal and timely fertilizer distribution.
